No matter what your dog’s personality I will do my best to capture it! After all, isn’t it that unique combination of head tilts, favorite toy, and boopy nose that makes your dog, well, your dog? Throughout the process, I will work with you to determine your favorite features, expressions, places, and faces!

Your dog’s safety and comfort wins over “getting the shot”, every time. We will work together to ensure that your dog enjoys their time with me….My two Search & Rescue dogs will attest that “dog” is my second language.
A solid understanding of dog behavior is key when asking your dog to trust me with my big lights and scary camera-thing. I started training dogs long before I ever dreamed that I’d be using a camera to capture other people’s furry sidekicks in all their slobbery glory, putting my dog training experience to good use creating portraits that are treasured for years. Fidgety fidos are welcome, and leashes are no problem!

After discussing your goals, I will get to work on customizing your session! You will receive assistance with preparation, help styling (if needed), and plenty of guidance on what to expect. Your session is all about you and your dog! Using silly noises treats, and other tricks of the trade, I will work with your dog to capture them at their best.
Around 1-2 weeks after we have captured your amazing portraits you will be invited for an in-person image reveal. We will pick out your favorites, design wall galleries and albums, and decide how you would like to enjoy your portraits!

All clients will receive complimentary watermarked, web resolution digital files (for digital use) of any image ordered. Though sometimes the need arises to have the hi-resolution digital files available such as for school yearbooks, holiday cards, etc. Hi-resolution digital files can be purchased in collections or added to your artwork investment.
What’s so different about a portrait experience compared to cell phone pictures?
The answer: Nothing....And everything. You see, capturing your dogs personally, can be done haphazardly. You might get really lucky and take your phone to the dog park and get a half decent snapshot of your dog in the 1/1000th of a second they stop moving, I hope you are ready to hit that shutter!…actually, you won’t because phone cameras are not that fast. But anyway, so now what? How do you remove the ugly leash? Or the people in the background? What are you going to do with this one, low resolution picture?
You might have a nice camera, but that’s not much use when your are getting ambushed for treats while you fumble with the settings. Oops, too late! Your dog has lost interest now. No judgement, that’s why you are here, isn’t it?
And then there’s the artwork - other photographers may hand you 200 digitals files to “do whatever you want with”, sounds like a great deal right? Truth is, I hear this every day that the overwhelm and decisions are just too much for most busy people and the files end up sitting on your hard drive until they get lost or forgotten. Not to mention the risk of paying for sub-standard products with incorrectly sized images! Eek!
