Not all photographers know how to work with your magnificent horse to capture them looking their best, and the selfies and show photos just don’t depict the bond that you share outside of the ring. It’s sad but true that most of us fail to create the images that our horses truly deserve.

Much more than just a selfie...

While the memories of showing and your hundreds of selfies are every bit as important to preserve, they do not really do your horse justice. Your show photographer will not look deep into your horse's sweet soul and attempt to translate that into an image. Why? Because that's my job.

WHICH SESSION DO I NEED? WHO CAN BE IN THE PORTRAITS?

Most horse owners want to capture their unique partnership with their horse(s) with the horse & rider session portrait experience. We will capture a variety of traditional shots plus some more natural, candid moments and details too! If your family would like to join you for part of the session, they are most welcome! If you just want to get stunning portraits of your horse then the Equine Portrait Session will be what you need - for this we will either set up in your barn aisle for black background portraits or use a natural background such as a tree line, it’s up to you! If you would like both types of session, there is a discounted session fee.

WHAT ABOUT LOCATION, PREPARATION AND OUTFITS?

Fear not! I will work with you to determine your goals, favorite looks, details, interactions and locations! I have guided many horse owners through this process. When preparing your horse I suggest doing all of the things you would do to get them (and their tack) ready for a show, such as bathing, brushing etc. For yourself, I have a whole host of suggestions and tips to help you look and feel fabulous! With regards to the location, most sessions take place at your barn where your horse feels more at ease, though I am down for exploring other interesting locations!

HOW MUCH DOES THIS ALL COST?

That’s entirely up to you! After your session fee ($150-$400), there is no minimum purchase requirement, it all depends on how you want to enjoy your portraits. Prices for Wall Art start at $495, Albums at $2495, and Portrait Collections offer significant savings and start at $995. All session options include a credit to use towards your art investment.
