At the heart of Georgia’s shimmering Lake Oconee lie tales untold. From the avid swimmers to those contentedly perched on the docks, from the ever-enthusiastic office greeters to the loyal golf cart riders, and even the cuddly couch potatoes who sneak into our favorite coffee shops – every dog has a story worth sharing.

What’s The Lake Dog Project All About?

It’s my mission to weave these narratives into tangible memories, capturing the unique charm of each of our beloved Lake dogs. Through this project, not only do you get to immortalize your furry friend in custom artwork for your home, but you also contribute to a cause close to many hearts: the Oconee Regional Humane Society. And the cherry on top? Your dog, with its captivating story, gets a special feature in a beautifully crafted coffee table book, set to grace homes by Fall 2024.

• Grab Your Spot: Fill out the application form and let’s chat! In our 15-minute discovery call, we’ll talk about your dog’s story and envision how their portraits will come to life.
• Enjoy Your Session: Picture this – a serene lakeside setting, your dog in its element, and me capturing those perfect moments. It’s not just a photoshoot; it’s a day of joy, and a celebration of your shared time together.
• Treasure Your Art: Post-session, we’ll curate your favorite portraits, turning them into bespoke heirloom art pieces, ready to adorn your walls…And come Fall 2024, you’ll have the pleasure of flipping through The Lake Dog Project book, seeing your dog star alongside many other Lake legends.

Spotlight on ORHS:

Before The Lake Dog Project was born, I asked countless lake residents which causes they care about, and The Oconee Regional Humane Society was a common thread!  Being at the helm of this project and partnering with ORHS has only reinforced my belief in community and compassion. They are more than just an animal shelter. They’re a beacon of hope, a hub where pets transition from moments of despair to tales of transformation. From rescue & adoption to medical treatments and everything in between, ORHS has been the guiding star for countless pets and their caregivers. Achieving milestones solely on the generosity of individuals and corporations, without any government aid, is commendable. They truly resonate with the essence of The Lake Dog Project: capturing beauty, building connections, and radiating love.
